Paralegals can take several different paths to enter the legal profession. These typically involve different levels of education, on-the-job-training, and certifications. Where paralegals work and what specific tasks they perform, however, depends on the kind of skills, experience, and education they have.
At Center for Advanced Legal Studies (CALS) our staff, faculty, students, and graduates understand the importance of obtaining a quality, hands-on paralegal education. As a result, there are many employers who are very happy that they hired CALS graduates. Our goal is to prepare students to be ethical, efficient, and effective paralegals.
We train students to be able to work and excel in the legal or commercial environment, in the private or public sector. Our graduates are equipped to work for law firms, businesses, government, and non-profit organizations. Our students learn to perform practical legal work that they would perform on the job for their supervising attorneys. And with the needs of the legal community in mind, students experience situations that help teach them to adapt to the ever-changing role of paralegals.
At CALS, we offer comprehensive and practical paralegal training programs to those who want to enter the legal profession. Our programs are designed to provide students an exceptional paralegal education and career services to help graduates quickly enter the job market.
One of our paralegal programs is the Paralegal Certificate Program, which includes the following features:
